Welcome! New to ABC and 123? Please check out our FAQ in the left sidebar.
We know that a lot of you are crafty and with Father's Day at the end of the month, we know it's never too early to start sharing some ideas for how your kids can give their gifts a handmade touch approaching. Here are some from our community to get you inspired!
Since it's only the beginning of June we hope this will get the wheels in your mind turning and that we'll get enough submissions to have another round of ideas for you. So please send in your handmade gift and card ideas!
Now I (Katie's Nesting Spot) am a little bit embarrassed about these first two. It seems I first found these way back around the holidays, and got started on a handmade gift post. But then I forgot I'd started and ended up "loosing" this post until I was messsing around with the edit post page. Did you know you can search and find all the Drafts you've got?
They are both too good of ideas not to share, and since both were originally Grandparent's Day gifts, I thought they'd also be wonderful Father's Day gifts. Cause Dad's and Grandpa's love pictures and handprints just as much as Moms and Grandmas!
Jessica from Brixton Lane shared this cute popsicle stick photo puzzle gift she made for Grandparent's Day. One side has a darling picture of all the grandkids and on the other side are scripture versus.
How could any grandparent NOT like this sweet Hearts and Handprints art project created at Max and Ellie? A little color change might be required, but we think this would melt the heart of any Grandpa or Daddy!
Speaking of handprints, check out the fish inspired handprint ideas from Amanda! My Dad loves fishing, so I was thinking these would be especially great for him! First there is a colorful handprint card.
It would be perfect to coordinate with either this handprint fish mug or...
this keepsake handprint tile.
She also shares two different footprint crafts with a poem, the one above and another about following in Father's Footsteps. Both would look really great in a simple frame and make a great keepsake that can be hung on the wall.
Show how much your family "ROCKS" by making your own version rock version. Cassie from Our Adventures in Education, says that all the kids ranging in age from 2-12 had a lot of fun making theirs.
Don't forget to email us your ideas so we can feature you in our second Father's Day Gift Ideas Round Up!
