Counting coins game! *FREEBIE*

Hi friends {we're friends, right?}!  Happy June! I have a little fun ready for you today...It's a fun review on Counting Coins and/or Coin Recognition!

Supplies:
Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters-optional {real or fake}
Spinner Supplies {paper clips and a pencil}
Procedure:
  As we are reviewing at the end of the year, I made this little spinner game. In partners, the first student spins the spinner and whatever amount it lands on, the student gets out that coin {you can use real or pretend coins}. Each player takes turns until they've had 5 spins. Each student counts their 5 coins out loud to their partner and tells them the total amount.

You can modify it by just doing as a coin recognition and you can play at home!!!
There are 2 spinners included in this download {one has the Quarter, one does not}

  1. This is a wonderful site. I would like to add it to one I just started with your permission
    I have put together a daily blog intended to be used as an additional study tool for you and your child. History, math, science, vocabulary, and geography are given every day many with a link to the document to study. I also have researched sources that I hope may be helpful to you as an aide for your child. The site is actually very child friendly in terms of use.
    I ask you to visit it and see what it has to offer. The first post “The Furniture of the Human Mind” will explain the site and hopefully you will look around.
    Thank You

  3. Thank you for sharing!! I'm thrilled to have found your site. I created a similar activity for my son and he LOVED it (check it out here: http://deceptivelyeducational.blogspot.com/2011/05/counting-with-coins.html). Keep the great ideas coming!
