Favorite Holiday Books and Activities

Welcome! New to ABC and 123?
Please check out our FAQ in the left sidebar.

Welcome to our first holiday blog hop linky!

Today we'd like to invite our readers and community to share their favorite winter holiday books as well as lessons and activities related to them. We'll leave the linky open through the entire month so you can hop on and link up as you complete your activities.

So don't forget to come back so we all have lots of ideas and resources to choose from! Please list the book or activity you do so it's easier for everyone to find what they're looking for. Get ready to also join in our other thematic blog hops planned this month!

C'mon back tomorrow for our Cooking and Baking Holiday Treats with Kids Blog Hop and mark your calendar for the following dates!

December 9: Kid Made Holiday Decorations
December 11: Favorite Christmas Crafts
December 14: Holiday Themed Math Activities
December 15: Homemade Cards and Gift by both You and the Kids
December 16: December Author Challenge: Tomie De Paola

To get started with THIS blog hop's theme, we'd like to share some reader submissions...

Susana from My Family My Forever and her kids read their favorite snowman books: Snowballs, The Missing Mitten Mystery, The Biggest Snowman Ever, Snow Family and What Do Snowmen Do At Night and then they made these great keepsake ornaments.

Shannon at Diary of a Nouveau Soccer Mom, has a family tradition to read their a couple of their special holiday books each day until Christmas. Which brings up the excellent that there doesn't always have to be an extension activitiy. It's good to show your kids that reading for fun is...FUN!

After all how can reading be anything but fun in this totally cool Book Nook, created by Nuturing the Tender Years.

We'd also like to see any books you might have made together, like this simple predictable reader, as seen on Katie's Nesting Spot.
