Play To Learn ~ Project Bricks

Welcome to this week’s Play To Learn where I’m sharing some of our fun with Project Bricks. These Bricks have come in really handy with our Expedition Earth Geography Curriculum.

What better way to learn about great architecture around the world than to make your own models? I can tell you that anything we’ve made with these Bricks, my kids remember!

Here are some of our Project Bricks creations:

The Great Wall of China: These bricks are glued together with white craft glue. Once dried you can cut doorways, windows etc. Since the bricks are foam you can also use toothpicks to hold them in place.

Working on the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy.

The Roman Coliseum, Rome Italy

And even if you aren’t doing an around the world study, they are great encourage creativity and promote logical building skills. My family absolutely LOVES working with these bricks. Often we’ll pull them out with a set of toothpicks and just let them create things on their own.

Those are just some ideas that you can use the Project Bricks for, but really your imagination is the only limit to what you can create with these! If you have more ideas to share, or would like to be included in future “Play To Learn” posts, please email me at homeschoolerconfessions {at} gmail {dot} com, we’d love to hear from you!

  2. I got my bricks at Michael's craft store, but there's a link to Amazon in the post if you can't find them locally.
